    Prom season and Pride season merge in this Public Service Announcement with a twist that encourages youth to be allies and stand up against hate. Starring youth from Planned Parenthood Peer Education Groups,". 4 minutes.
  4. City of Borders excerpt:

    a film by: Yun Suh
    Winner of Chessie Award 2008 becomes a feature length film, recently winning the Teddy Award at the Berlin Film Festival. This excerpt focuses on the only gay bar in Jerusalem, frequented by Israelis and Palestinians alike. 6 minutes.
  5. The Preacher and the Poet:

    A homophobic preacher in Washington DC is juxtaposed against a young gay poet, who mourns the death of his friend, who commited suicide at age 13.

    Part of the 2008 Brooklyn Film Race, made in 24 hours, with the theme "free" with the surprise element of sticking a plug into a socket. An unspoken unresolved conflict that asks the question "what reason would the one character have to hurt the other?" 4 minutes.

    On the last day of summer, before heading off to college, two eighteen year old best friends attempt to connect as adults, and for the first time in their lives, share a real moment. 8 minutes.

    Parthiban Shanmugam takes his camera to explore the world of Eunuchs in India. 22 minutes.
  5. Twirling Earl:

    a film by: Don Newcomb
    TWIRLING EARL twirls the baton in front of the gay pride parade, till his toss goes astray. 2 minutes.
  6. What the Frock!:

    a film by: Jeffrey Moore
    Premiered at the Palm Springs International Short Film Festival. After the main character's (Guy) end of life wishes are not met, he decides to take matters into his own hands. A short comedy about life, death, betrayal and the search for the perfect dress. 12 minutes.
  7. Smack dem Christians Down:

    Music video. Winner of the 2008 Paw Award at the Vermont Bear Film Festival. 4 minutes.

    It's easy to see why a target shooter isn't able to maintain concentration… or is it not so clear after all? 3 minutes.
  2. The Back Room:

    a film by: Greg Ivan Smith
    Errol is at the end of a very long week as manager of his bookstore. As he closes his shop, a stranger bursts in with an intriguing query: to find the artist whose painting so deeply moved him recently in Florence, Italy. The stranger has just one clue, the painter's name written phonetically as "Jack Car-roo-see". Is there something about that name? As the man's story unfolds and the search begins, the two strangers uncover astonishing connections to the painting and each other that neither could have predicted. 16 minutes.

    This experimental film by Connecticut filmmaker Kurt Uccello blends poetry and imagery in telling a story of art, relationships and casual sex. 7 minutes.
  4. Love Sucks:

    a film by: Ingrid Jungermann & Sara Winters
    LOVE SUCKS is a dark comedy about Jane and Margaret, a vampire couple attempting to make a long-term relationship work. Spending hundreds of years together has pitched them both into the throes of co-dependency, so they do what any couple struggling to make things work would do: they go to therapy.

  5. Thirteen or so Minutes…:

    Lawrence Jeffries and Hugh Greerey have just met… they both have girlfriends… they're both straight. Thirteen or so minutes later, however, something's happened and things have changed. 13 minutes.

    When Andy’s uncle and his boyfriend arrive to babysit, Andy is not on her best behaviour, armed with a supersoaker and a devious mind, Andy corners the men, who can do nothing but comply. 11 minutes.

    A lesbian fairlytale involving love, dance and the overcoming of social prejudices. 17 minutes.
  8. Kali Ma:

    a film by: Soman Chainani
    When a suburban Indian mother finds out her son is the victim of a vicious bully, she delivers her own brand of vigilante justice. Starring popular Bollywood star Kamini Khanna (Monsoon Wedding), and the follow-up to director Soman Chainani’s acclaimed 2006 short “Davy & Stu”, “Kali Ma” plunges us into a battle of mythic proportions, where we discover the secrets that divide mothers and sons and the love that binds them together. 14 minutes.

    Follows youth in lima, peru, who are in the process of building a gay and lesbian youth center. 12 minutes.
  3. Paisanics:

    a film by: Kevin Anderton
    The religious right hijacks a foreign film filled with lesbianism and homosexuality. 6 minutes.
  4. Bridal Party:

    a film by: Kelsy Chauvin
    While waiting for the bride to arrive, two bridesmaids dish and gossip, which unveil nuances within the ordinary. 8 minutes.
  5. Take the Gay Train:

    a film by: Robert Philipson
    Take the Gay Train delves into the Harlem Renaissance with works from Bruce Nugent and Wallace Thurman. 14 minutes.
  6. Benefit of the Sponsor:

    a film by: Richard Ballon
    Local (Amherst, MA) filmmaker Richard Ballon film originally started as a one act play at the Last Frontier Theater conference in Alaska. This video version explores the interactions between a woman, who discovers her son's exboyfriend is married and a minister in a small town. 15 minutes.

    a film by: Ariane Minafar
    Children and others demonstrate against Prop 8, days before California bans gay marriage. 10 minutes.
  8. Queerer than Thou:

    a film by: Ramses Rodstein
    International Premiere at the London Lesbian and Gay Film Festival. A comedic short that tackles the age-old question of "Who is the queerest of them all?"
    8 minutes.
