Screenings are conducted via a standard definition DVD projection system.<\/p>\n<p>Submissions to the CineSLAM Short Film Festival are automatically considered for the <strong>Chessie Award<\/strong> (best short at CineSLAM) with a cash prize of $250 and an invitation to the filmmaker to screen the winning film on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.prideoftheocean.com\" target=\"_blank\">Pride of the Ocean <\/a>the following year, with free room and board on the ship.<\/p>\n<p>Note if you are applying for the workshop scholarship that takes place on Pride of the Ocean August 18 to 25, the application will automatically include your short film submission.\u00a0 You should go to Film Seminars on the navigation bar and follow instructions and read guidelines on applying to the Film Seminars.\u00a0 You can apply on-line there or follow instructions for mailing your application and film into the CineSLAM offices.<\/p>\n<p>If you wish to only submit a film to the Vermont CineSLAm Shorts Festival (June 22) and not apply to the workshop on Pride of the Ocean\u00a0then you should contact John Scagliotti, program director, \u00a0at <a href=\"mailto:admin@cineslam.com\">admin@cineslam.com<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>CineSLAM defines \u201cshort film\u201d as any film, video, or animation production that does not exceed twenty minutes.
