Local New England actors and businesses were used to create the unique look and feel of \u201cSpooners\u201d, which made it a favorite at the New England based CineSLAM Film Festival, where many audience members recognized people and places in the film. The two lead actors, Ben Lerman and Walter Replogle, have a winning onscreen chemistry as the film\u2019s married couple shopping for a new mattress.
