CineSLAM<\/span><\/strong>, Vermont\u2019s LGBT Festival of Shorts, is sponsoring a post-film\u00a0reception<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Q&A<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0with the film’s director,\u00a0Eric Schaeffer<\/span><\/strong>, following the 7pm Brattleboro Opening Night screening of\u00a0Boy Meets Girl<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0on\u00a0Friday,\u00a0February 13, 2015<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0at the\u00a0Latchis Theater<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0in downtown Brattleboro.<\/p>\n

The film’s director was a\u00a0Brattleboro<\/span>\u00a0<\/strong>Union High School\u00a0student over 40 years ago, and his family still resides in the area. Viewers will recognize many of the film’s Vermont locations and actors,\u00a0Eric Schaeffer<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0having brought the production to his\u00a0hometown<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0for filming in the summer of 2013. Among the participating businesses was Brattleboro Union High School,\u00a0Jamaica\u00a0Coffee Shop,<\/span>\u00a0Bromley View Inn<\/span><\/strong>,\u00a0D&K Country<\/span> Store<\/span><\/strong>, and downtown Brattleboro’s own\u00a0Salon Jacque<\/span><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Continuing its partnership with the Latchis Theater, CineSLAM will present its\u00a02015 LGBT Short Film Festival<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0during Gay Pride Month on\u00a0Friday, June 19, 2015<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0at the Latchis Theater in downtown Brattleboro.\u00a0Registration<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0for the festival begins on\u00a0March 1, 2015<\/span><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

CineSLAM also conducts workshops with CineSLAM\u2019s film directors on\u00a0Pride of the Ocean\u2019s\u00a0LGBT Film Festival at Sea,<\/span><\/strong> taking place this year in\u00a0Alaska<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0on board the\u00a0Celebrity Solstice<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0for 7 days and 7 nights, cruising Alaska’s famous Inside Passage from\u00a0\u00a0August 7-14, 2015\u00a0<\/span><\/strong>with ports of call in\u00a0Seattle<\/span><\/strong>,\u00a0Ketchikan<\/span><\/strong>,\u00a0Tracy Arm Fjord<\/span><\/strong>,\u00a0Juneau<\/span><\/strong>,\u00a0Skagway<\/span><\/strong>, and\u00a0Victoria<\/span><\/strong>.<\/p>\n
